it runs !!!!!!!!!
I still have a lot of loose ends to tie up but it starts with the ignition key, stock gauges work. Even the drivetrain functions I have it up on jack stands and ran it through all the gears.

As soon as Smirty shows up I will have him take and post a video, because I don't know how to do that.
I postponed the alignment until next weekend due to Jeep parts aquisition being a PITA. Today was miserable trying to get dealer only parts. I drove to Schaumburg, Elgin and Beloit WI., and still came home empty handed. I finally purchased some steel and I will make my own dang parts.
I did learn an important mechanic lesson I will pass on. If you happen to replace your steering box, on a hydroboost brake equipped vehicle, or maybe just a power steering equipped vehicle. Should you happen to forget which hose goes to what port on the box inevitably you will get the hoses crossed. DO NOT put your hand or even your fingers inside the spokes of the steering wheel when trying to work the air out of the system. Because when the pump gets prime and starts to make pressure it will spin that wheel very fast and with a LOT of force. I thought I sprained my hand. Oh yeah, and when you finally shut the engine off the reservoir will puke its contents all over the engine just to add insult to injury.

I made a LOT of progress today. I am down to bleeding the brakes, installing shock mounts, and making the radiator hoses from several other hoses before taking it out on its maiden voyage. There are still a lot of loose ends, but nothing but the above to keep me from driving it.

I drove it today, I @%#$& drove it! Albeit for less than a mile, but I don't care I am so @#$&* happy.
I have yet to install the shocks, has anybody driven a TJ without shocks at speed? It was interesting, I needed a dramamine when I got home. lol
Still lots of loose ends but it so so rewarding to finally drive it, even in the rain. Wipers worked great too.

Very nice Gregg, I can't believe you finally got to drive the sucker. I have driven without shocks on my TJ...whoa Nelly!

In regards to posting up a video on the site, you need to do it through a third party provider like youtube and post the link...our humble little site doesn't have the capabilities.
