ok, actually gonna start the selling process...

its a 91 YJ with 80,XXX miles on it, close to 81k.
4 cyl, 5 speed
Red/Black soft top
The only problems are
engine problem caused by water damage 3/23/05 (its not dead by any means, it got me 110 miles to wisconsin no prob, gone a couple hundred since, still can go 80mph, its just loud and not all perfect)
1 bolt manifold leak,
and less than professional body work - 1 remaining rust spot, some time with a power sander can make the body perfect

accessories
front bumper with D-rings
Tow Hooks front and rear
CB Radio
faded (were red now pink) neoprene seat covers
Custom made wood shift knob
CD player
4 speakers in addition to 2 stock
5 30" tires and alloy wheels
k&N Air filter
2 bikini tops
Bestop Soft Doors
fog lights

i have a figure in mind, make me an offer and we can talk numbers. the jeep will be ready for delivery (you to get it) in glenview, IL (just off the lake/skokie exit of I-94) starting august 14th

PM me here or email basiegel@umich.edu

this jeep is solid, and as swap said, one of the best bodies/frames hes ever seen on a YJ. keep in mind everything but the engine is in perfect mechanical condition (axles, tranny etc.) and this would make a great 1st vehicle for anyone. I am selling because i will be driving a lot to and from ann arbor starting this fall (college) and i wont have any time to work on it. for tooling around chicago, this jeep would be a perfect ride.

oh, one more thing, the jeep was in an accident (i was rear ended in a corner) but thanks to the magic of insurance, was professionally repaired and i dare you to tell me which side was hit.

thanks,
Ben

oh, and dont worry, im not getting out of jeeps, im test driving a 98TJ 4.0L 5 speed tomorrow, wish me luck!

Congrats on the sale. What lift are you going with? My recommendation would be RE...but thats just me

I too, recommend Rubicon Express! You can't go wrong! Remember you will need a sys and drive shaft too!

Ben that's great. :)

If you plan on going a 3" lift you will not need to do an SYE. I ran a three" and a 1" body and motor lift and ran my 34's for awhile. 33's with this set-up will work nicely and save you a few hundred bucks. I used a Rusty's 3' lift for a couple of years and then sold it to a Jeeper who is using it now. RE 4.5 inch is great but anything less than that in height I would shop around. I would stay away from teh cheap stuff, ie;Trailmaster----

Kepp in mine that for a very few dollars you can go a 2' budget boast and run 32's on a TJ. That will save on new shocks and get you over most of what we trail on. I have know several Jeepers that do and still have that set-up. Keeps you lower on center of gravity and allows funds for bumpers and more importantly skids and rock rails.

Just my 2

woah!
like i said, ive got to build up the funds first!!!
i leave today for ann arbor, goin off to college, which means no time to wrench... (until i talk to one of my engineering profs about using the automotives lab...)
but right now i have to finish payin my dad back for the TJ but come april (when i get back from school) the TJ will grow
closer to then i'll start a new thread and get all the advice on the world for my jeep and what i can do to it!
Thanks guys!!!
seriously though, april wrenchfest!! :D
