View Full Version : Acid dip
I know I have asked some of you this one, but will ask all of you.
Want to acid dip my axle and associated parts. Does anyone know of a local joint that could do this. I dont want to sand blast the other axle. Too much time and media.
thanks

Grub, I believe eddie is worried about the bare metal surfaces "bearing surfaces". Grub i think, if i remember right that they do protect those areas/ surfaces, but with the amount POR15 thats on there now and the primer too who knows, you will have to call and talk with someone. Not all the plating houses do small or for the general public jobs. There are alot of Plating house in the city here. I pull out my contact list of plating houses from where i use to work at and they did do small jobs. Sorry, can't remember his name of the guy that i use to deal with.

I don't know much about Acid dip, but tobacco dip did a number on my lip.
just picked up my parts from being dipped. I would post pictures but the camera crapped out. I can say that they look better than new.
If you need any parts cleaned, great guys, just over the border into Wisconsin.
Next winter I may be taking my tub up there. They had a Bel Air and an old camaro in the tank today.
