Ok Ok..not much of a reporter...highlight was the UROC rock crawling demo, there was more truck stuff than Jeeps, but companies like Skyjacker, Jeeperman, Warrior, Pro Comp, Fabtech, to name a few...alot of nice concept vehicles.

IFWDA was there talk to Scott (Pres.) they were pushing Rockport...Blue Ribbon was also there...alittle disappointed in the area of no eye candy pushing products...but then again it's a good thing because the wifey was with.
Hope this is enough..I'm sure others will chime in that went.

My report back from SEMA

The first SEMA off road show was part of there spring show so there was bling to look at it too.

Kilby had rocker guards that they where making for the unlimited that I thought where very beefy and they had the Brute there.
Urock was there so show people what rockcrawling is about. They where using man made rocks pretty cool looking .
T-max had a winching demonstration going on at one point. So it was pretty cool to see the synthetic winch cable being used . On that note Urock wants winch weights to be used even on a synthetic winch line. Which I think is still a good idea

People I talk to:
Autometer about there new gauges they came out with
Meyer Plastica/circle that makes plastic body parts got to try and smash it up and scratch it
4-Ever Chrome Inc that makes lug nuts boy black chrome looks cool.
Asri-Cover Inc. that makes non-hydraulic plow that all you need is a front hitch to use.
Vanco power brake supply talk to them about their hydroboost
Raingler was there talk to him about there netting system
Warn was there but nothing new

Sorry I don?t care for eye candy I like going for the meat and potatoes

Coolest thing that was there was a lifted with air bag springs Harley Davidson Ford F-350 (I think) that the bed of the truck comes down so you can put your Harley in.
Big foot was there (Sorry I am a fan) :p

All in All there was only 3 row for the true offroader and their was more Hemi in Wrangles then anything

hoping that Fat-hoe can down load the pic and the vidoes of the rockcrawler and the winching demo .

The next day shot to the speedway to look at cars

still downloading my pics ... I made a lot of good contacts for ILFWDA's event sponsorship's and met some people I've only talked to on the phone ... chatted w/Nikki n Kevin from DesMoinesOffRoad.com and got to see her new rock buggy on the proving ground. Nikki will be competeing @ rorp's RROCK. I also bumped into some of the guys from UltimateAdventure. (Petersens magazine and BFG krawler inventor)

Saturday I met IFWDA president and spoke in great detail with redbirdsra management team ... IL can learn a lot from their efforts in getting redbird going. Tony Lance (President Illiana Off-Roaders) was very helpful and informative with the steps they took to get www.redbirdsra.com going.

what a great weekend! thanks again for the ride down ror.
