The goal for this winter is to get the Scrambler trail worthy. That includes a front and rear bumper. Right now it has the stock front, and no rear. Although, thanks to Swap, it has one hell of a beefy rear cross member.

Can anyone make a recommendtion on bumpers? Here are my requirements:

- front and back need to match
- front needs to be winch ready
- rear needs to have tire carrier, jack carrier, integrated.

welcome input

I'm not sure about the winch plate, but why not make some. I've seen the tire carrier kits they come with a plate to mount a tire a hinge and a latch.

Or get a tire carrier like the Best Top one that mounts to the body and make the bumbers

My buddy Matt sells these laser cut DIY parts: http://www.troutindustries.com/Store.html

He's the one who built the front bumper on my Scrambler. That'd get you some cheap & easy brackets for Dug to use, or you could have Matt build your bumpers. I *might* be selling my rear bumper/carrier combo that was built by Allen before he moved to VA.

I have a Jeeperman tire swing with 2 ammo boxes, antenna mount, and adjustable tire mount. Trying to free up some garage space. You can take a look at it at the meeting if interested.

Kermit Just Don't Understand

You know Kermit is the same no matter time nor place
He doesn't understand that us Jeepers are gonna make some mistakes
So to you, all the Jeepers all across the land
There's no need to argue, Kermit just don't understand

I remember one year
Kermit took me accessory shopping
It was me, my brother, my mom, oh, my pop, and my little sister
All hopped in the Jeep
We headed down to the local Farm -n- Fleet
Kermit started bugging with the parts he chose
I didn't say nothing at first
I just turned up my nose
He said, "What's wrong? This strap cost $20"
I said, "Kermit, this strap is dirty like it's been used for a few hours!"
The next half hour was the same old thing
Kermit picking out parts from 1983
And then he lost his mind and did the ultimate
I asked him for a sawz-all and he bought a Roto-zip!
I said, "Kermit, what are you doing, you're ruining my rep"
He said, "You're still a newbie, you don't have a rep yet"
I said, "Kermit, let's put these bumpers back, please"
He said "no, you go to trails to wheel, not for a fashion show"

Sorry...couldn't resist a little humor...the fashion show comment stuck in my head and the old Fresh Prince/Wil Smith rap popped out :)
