My name is Mike I have been around the Jeepin community for many years. I had been on the BoD of Terra for 4 years before splitting off and starting my own small club a few years back that has since disbanded. Just starting to get back into the Jeep thing again though I have never been without my Jeep but I am Kind of getting out of the crazy offroading days now I am starting to want to do more of exploring in my Jeep. Just don't feel the need to prove myself climbing huge rocks and slinging mud anymore.
This is how it looks as of today

It is a 99 I had since new and it only has 38k on it now. It's on 35's with an 8.8 rear Dana 30 front both stuffed with 4.88's and ARB's and a bunch of other stuff. It is a trailer queen but I am working on getting it to be more road friendly as I plan on starting to drive it around town again soon as it is sad just seeing it sit in my garage unused.

Hi Mike - Welcome aboard! We are certainly not an exreem club by any stretch. Not to say we don't do our share of challenging off-roading, but we have found that most of us want to live another day. We too got our start by breaking away from another club and starting this humble site. As Jay mentioned, we also like to go out exploring in the Jeeps as well. We are right now trying to figure out our Fall Colors run which is (by its name) partially a scenic trip along with some wheeling.
Glad to have you and feel free to chime in any time...the more the merrier I say!
BTW - Where do you hail from?

Hi Mike,
You won't find a friendlier bunch of folks to hang out with. No Prima Donna's or know-it-alls. Just a bunch of Jeepers who genuinely like each other, and consider each other family, who like to go off-roading.
Welcome aboard. :welcome:
Welcome, welcome, welcome, yes feel free to chime in at any time, love to wheel my baby but fine that exploration is becoming more up my alley. Never stop testing yourself "proving to yourself" and or your jeep!. lol! :crzy:

And then there is snow wheeling in the winter. An adventure in itself. I live by Lake Winnebago and when it is frozen over it is a blast.

Thanks everyone for all the Welcomes!
Yeah the Jeep is quite clean. I actually didn't clean it for almost 4 years until this spring. I have only gone offroad a few times in the last few years. My best friend died on the way home from the Badlands 3 years ago when his Jeep rolled over on the way home and I just lost interest after that. I have gone out a couple times since then but it just hasn't been the same so this spring I decided to clean it up and fix it up because after many years of hard use it needed refreshening. I knew I still had a nice Jeep under all the scratches and mud I just needed to spend about 32 hours into it so far to make that happen. It is about as clean as it can get. I am still working on getting the engine compartment clean as I am about to start replacing the exhaust manifold.
I am familiar with the accident you mentioned, sorry for your loss.
I have walked a mile down the same road you have been on the last few years, I can definitely relate. I have wheeled only once and briefly at that with this group. Through the comradery shown by most on here at several other events I can honestly say there are some truly and genuinely good people here, some near some far. Welcome and I think you will fit in just fine.

Thanks it was a very tough time for me. A lot of second guessing letting him trying to limp it home. Bryan was positive it was going to be fine. I trailer my Jeep and my Jeep wasn't licensed since I was using it only on the trails and the tires on the beadlocks were not balanced so it was not like he could've drove my Jeep home 3 hours. I offered to come back for it the next day with my trailer but he thought it would make it. When it was all said and done he made it 12 miles. The thing was I just got off the cb with him 30 seconds before. I looked in my rear view mirror and I saw it going over 3-4 times. He didn't have a scratch on him the impact rattle his brain. That day definitely changed me forever.

Hi Mike.
Welcome. Hopefully the club will have another gathering soon and we can meet. I am fairly new here myself, and actually haven't met everyone yet. Couldn't have found a better bunch of Jeepers, thats for sure....
