You guys better hurry there is only 13 minutes left until the 2010 TRJC Blast starts.
TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES, of a variety of Jeeps and trails. Not just of the same jeep.

Unfortunately I was unable to read that last post. I do not have a lot of pictures, but I shot a bunch of video!

I browsed through them a bit, a few nice ones. I have the camera shooting for the mount on my dash mostly. Its hard to prevent refection when the sun hits. I'll post the videos once I upload them to youtube. This will take a while.

wish I had seen this BEFORE I LEFT. anywho - this is what i have - not a lot but some (cause I had to be defribulated twice from being scared to death and couldn't maintain a death grip on my steering wheel and take pictures at the same time)

like to add that this was an AWESOME event - the trails I went on were great. the people were really really friendly and helpful, food was tasty and I had a really scary, heart stopping, giggly fun time. Oh....and by the way....Slater is squealing.

Okay, I got my pictures uploaded. Albeit not many good ones. Take a look and disregard:

I'm still working on the videos. Some really cool ones of Jean rock climbing and generally nice hill-climbs.

I have three things that went broke after the Blast: rear locker not working(probably same loose air like like front), cruise turns on but does not work and the HVAC controls do not work. I cannot change the airflow from vent/floor to anything else. I am assuming this is the workings of dusty country back roads.

Luke sounds like you have a vacuum issue both the HVAC and cruise work off vacuum.
BTW Nice pics! Thank you.

Hmm. Not I'm not exactly educated about the goings on of my vacuum system, can you point me towards the right direction? Like a link or something?

Try photo bucket Slater.

think i was the lucky one this weekend with a slightly bent brake line and one tire that is now rated for 4-wheelin' only.

is that why you guys were whipping down the highway with your windows wide open ? :crzy:

Some really nice pics...looks like you had a great time. SWMBO - What was it that caused you to pull out the defribulator?

Also, what was Slater squealing about...do tell?!?!?

Oh....where to start....

watching the rear wheels of the jeep in front of you both leave the ground as they dip down the next obstacle.

sliding sideways towards a bank of trees as you are pounding up a hill.

being so off-camber that you can literally reach out and touch the ground but know that if you move that inch you're going over.

speaking of which....i do have one more point of damage.... I snapped one of the bottom disconnect bolts in half so the sway bar at the moment is not attached. are those bolts pressed in?

Swap

yes they are "press in" and hard to get it out..... try some heat and a BFH or cut near the bracket and drill the bolt out!.....

The squeeling that she is talking about is a noise that is coming some where from the front driveline or steering (I really have no idea) When I give the jeep a lot of gas it makes a squeel like nails on a chalk board. There is also a bad U-joint in the front, I think its in the steering. I also ripped off a break line in the front and knocked off my muffler 3 times over the weekend.

My vacuum issue is fixed. :D Some stupid line fell off.

Need to work on the rear axle when I have time. I have a bunch more videos of you guys wheeling in front of me. I'll burn them onto a DVD (that only will work in a PC) and give it to ya.

SWMBO - The trip isn't a success unless you pucker a bit

Slater - I wonder if its just a loose belt...try tightening the adjuster.

Lukasdp - Glad to hear your cruise and vent selector is working...too bad on the rear locker. Air lockers are prone to problems...I am not thrilled with mine as they always seem to need a lot of feed and caring.

You can try the adjuster first...but my guess would be the tension pulley or adjuster. if it is squeeling try to spray that area with a lube (pb blaster, wd-40, liquid wrench, ect) if it goes away then there is your probem.

I have had to replace mine on both my jeeps...it is very easy to do.

its not the belt ( i think) the noise only came when under a lot of HP going up hill. Also I am certian that I need to change my front U-joints (this is where I think the noise is from.
