Np 231

Does anyone know the socket size that fits the fill plug on the np 231 transfer case. My adjustable wrench isn't working on it anymore, and I just need to breakdown and go buy a socket... but I can't find the size.

Depending on the style of plugs either 10mm allen, or 30mm socket (1 3/16 will also work for a 30mm.)
Also according to the sticker on my 231 it takes 2.28 pts.

Well I got that darn thing off last night and threw the old calipers on it, and sure enough, 1.175". So yes a 30mm or 1 3/16 socket will do fine. I shall pick one up soon as to not chew up this plug with the vise grips anymore. Thanks Gregg.. :thumbsup:
