The 6th annual Toys for Tots hosted by GreatLakes Jeep Thing (GLJT.org) went off without any problems. There were more then 230 4x4's representing some 20 to 25 clubs. It was about 7:30 when we started staging some 14 rigs at Eddie's house (WHTJP98).
We started off our little caravan down 90/94 east to the main staging area at the McCormick Place parking lot. It was great to meet some so many new people and friends that I haven't seen for awhile and finally was able to put some faces with those screen names. I bet it was a sight to see Once the parade of more then 270 4x4's started stretching for miles travelling up Lake Shore Drive to our final destination which was at the Marines Reserve HQ on Foster Ave. in Chicago were we drop the toys off.
A BIG thanks goes out to Eddie and his parents Nancy “Sparky” and Edward “Sparky Jr.” Samp for supplying the HOT coco, coffee and the Krispy Kreams hmmmmm! AND to all that show up for this worthly cause, THANK YOU!
