This event is a definite go. April 9th-beginning at 8am.
Our first Competition is a "Midwest" competition.
October event will be open for shops from other areas to compete.
Our "pioneer" shops will have a definite "in" for our October "National" event.
Met with the 4 shops that are participating.
The 4 shops are:
Asshogger Off-Road-St. Louis, MO
Axleboy Enterprises-St. Peters, MO
TNT 4x4-Marseilles, IL
John Toumbs Repair-Mt. Sterling, IL
These 4 shops will bring 3 of their best built rigs,3 spotters and a team Captain to work with a unique team strategy to compete on the rocks, in the mud, pulling, bashing and on the trails.
Each shop is putting in $250 to compete. All of the shops' entry fees will go to the winners charity of choice.
Clubs will be represented and will participate by 5 volunteers to man and "sponsor" 1 of the 5 stages.
This is a unique event. We were told by Petersen's that it is the first of its kind. It will be a very unique oppurtunity for several aspects of the off-roading world to come together for great competition and lots of fun.
An event flyer will be out in the next 5 days max.
THANKS TJ FOR BEING A HUGE ASSET and showing support for MANY off-roading efforts without partialism!!!

Thank-you Grub. We're very excited about this event. And its great that we have several areas represented in our first event. The shops need to be commended for setting this up as a "charity wins" event. All of the charities will be represented at the park that day and will be set-up to take donations. So, no one is a loser. Especially the shops, they are going to be submitting their rigs to some pure abuse and doing it all for great causes. :D
As for "bashing" TJ, on the forums and off. I got to pick one of the stages (It's my personal favortie) It's a Timed run UP the Wolves Den
Talk about a show! It will be nothing but throttle to the floor (WATCH FOR THE TREE!), ricocheting (spelling?) off the banks and a whole lot of bashing! Cool huh!?!!!

I'll have to post them spy pics I got while at toumbs place yesterday ;)
Fred Williams from Petersens 4Wheel and Off-Road, Todd Moore from Rockcrawler.com, Burning Rubber TV and others will be covering this event. It would be great to have All or as many 4WD clubs in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa and the rest of the Midwest represented.
Wear club tshirts!.Set up membership tables. Come cheer the shops on as they , bash and crash their best for "Braggin' Rights" ; going for the title as the "Top Shop"!
There are some great charities that are going to be represented at the event. Some clubs are doing fundraisers ahead of time with funds being distributed amongst the 4 charities. All of these efforts will be recognized. This is a great chance for our area to make a positive statement of unity between shops, clubs, parks, distributors and the midwest as a whole.
Saturday, April, 9th. Rockport Off-Road Park.
